JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chairman and Managing Director are the Chief Executive of the Corporation and accountable to its Board of Directors and Government of India. He is overall in-charge of all aspects of the business spread across various business units of the company, management of corporate finance and human resource with an emphasis in the continuous improvement of company performance by encouraging performance-oriented work culture within the organization. He is responsible for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.

ELIGIBILITY
AGE LIMIT

  • Minimum Age For Internal = 45 Years
  • Maximum Age For Internal  = 2 years of residual service as on the date of vacancy w.r.t. the date of superannuation.
  • Minimum Age For Others = 45 Years
  • Maximum Age For Others = 3 years of residual service as on the date of vacancy w.r.t. the date of superannuation.
QUALIFICATION
  • The applicant should be a graduate with a good academic record from a recognized University/Institution. 
  • Applicants with Technical/MBA qualifications will have added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
  • The applicant should have adequate experience at a senior level of management in a large organization of repute.
  • Applicants with experience in Finance/Marketing/Production will have added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Telecommunication Industry is desirable.

PAY SCALE/ RANK/ LEVEL
  • Applicants from CPSEs should be working in the following or a higher pay scale:

(i) Applicants from Central Govt. / All India Services should be holding a post of the level of Additional
Secretary in Govt. of India or carrying equivalent scale of pay.
(ii) Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Lt. General in
the Army or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force.
